France 44 Wine & Spirits Education is certified by WSET as an Approved Program Provider (APP), offering students the chance to get certified through WSET with the help and guidance of our staff here in Minneapolis. WSET courses are globally recognized as the international standard in wine and spirit knowledge, and offer something for all learners, from novices to industry professionals. WINE
Intermediate learning for the highly-interested.
The Level 2 Award in Wines goes deeper into the processes of winemaking and the intricacies of significant wine regions. This is a course designed for the budding professional or the dedicated hobbyist.

The course culminates in a closed-book exam of 50 multiple-choice questions.
Advanced wine study for the professionally-minded.
The Level 3 Award in Wines is an advanced course for industry professionals and highly-motivated connoisseurs.​

The course culminates in a closed-book exam of 50 multiple-choice questions, a short-written answer test, and a blind tasting of two wines.
SPIRITS
Foundational spirits knowledge for all.
The Level 1 Award in Spirits is an ideal course for the amateur cocktail buff, or those looking to dip a toe into the spirits industry. This foundational course will cover the basic principles of spirit production, the main types and styles of spirits, how to serve spirits, and how to describe spirits using objective tasting methods.​
The course culminates in a closed-book exam of 30 multiple-choice questions.
Intermediate learning for the highly-interested.
The Level 2 Award in Spirits is meant for those looking to pursue a career in spirits or become more than just a layman. The course dives deeper into the major spirit styles of the world and gets into the science and methodology of distillation. Students will understand how raw materials are processed in a wide range of spirits, and also learn more about cocktails and how to incorporate spirits into them.
